Appointments System

A range of appointments are available Monday to Friday between 08:30 – 17:30.

Patients can see the doctor of their choice by telephoning or calling at the surgery to book an appointment telephone 028 9163 8700 or booking online.

You can also book appointments online via the link at the top of this page. You will need to contact reception to register for this secure service.

If you have an acute illness or a flare-up of a chronic illness please tell the receptionist and we will see you within 24 hours.

Practice Nurse

Our Practice Nurse, Barbara Canavan, is available to deal with the following:-

  • Blood Pressure Reviews
  • Asthma Reviews
  • COPD Reviews
  • Smears
  • Confidential Sexual Health Check

Telephone Advice

The doctors run telephone advice surgeries every morning and afternoon. Appointments can be booked via reception or online. You will be asked for a contact number for the doctor to phone you and given a time to expect the call.

A doctor is always available to deal with emergency calls.

GP Registrar

We are an approved training practice. This involves having a GP Registrar attached to our practice for a one year period. At times our Registrar will need to video consultations for teaching purposes, but patients will be advised in advance and given the choice of whether to participate or not. Recordings will not be undertaken without a patient's signed consent.

House Calls

If you are too ill to come to the surgery a home visit can be requested by telephone, when the receptionist will ask you to provide details of your symptoms. 

Requests for house calls should be made, whenever possible, before 11:00 AM, so that unnecessary delays are prevented. 

Please do not abuse this service, as it is reserved for housebound and chronically ill patients and in cases of medical emergency.

Some minor conditions can be treated by your local Pharmacist without the need for an appointment. These conditions include the following:

  • Athlete's Foot
  • Cold Sores
  • Diarrhoea
  • Head Lice
  • Jock Itch
  • Mouth Ulcers and Inflammation
  • Oral Thrush
  • Removal of Ear Wax
  • Threadworms
  • Vaginal Thrush

Cancel an Appointment

It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient. If you fail to notify the Practice that you are unable to attend, you will be sent a letter informing you that you have defaulted from your appointment. Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list.

You can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form. This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance. (excluding weekends and public holidays). You can also text to cancel your appointment.
